The Computershare Governance Services team has officially wrapped up our annual GEMS Client Conferences held in London for our EMEA clients and Tampa, Florida for our North America clients.

The 2016 conferences were attended by more than 150 global GEMS clients and key prospects including paralegals, corporate secretaries and compliance officers spanning across companies such as Wal-Mart, BMO Financial, Ford Motor Company, Continental Bank, Nationwide Insurance, ING Bank and more.

Throughout the week, we conducted interactive sessions generating educational conversations between the CGS staff and our clients. These sessions highlighted the framework the pillars provide by focusing specifically on our client's key business challenges and the ways in which the GEMS platform can help address those challenges.

Our keynote speakers offered our clients different perspectives into the world of entity management. In London, Anthony Hilton, Finance Editor of the Evening Standard, spoke on Brexit and the ways to navigate those changes, while Kathy Combs, the former Chair and Interim President of SCSGP, spoke about her 25+ years of experience in the industry and shared best practices on how to be successful in the corporate governance realm.

As enjoyable and informative as the sessions were, we also found time to provide our clients with evening entertainment including a comedy night in London's Leicester Square and a boat ride with music, drinks, poker and dancing through the Tampa Harbor.

As always, it was great to see our clients and staff engage and share their GEMS platform knowledge and best practices with one another. Our clients (and staff!) are already looking forward to next year!
