After nearly 30 years of service, we have officially said goodbye and closed the doors of our Port Melbourne production site – a facility that's been at the heart of Computershare Communication Services in Australia since the early days.

Over the decades, this site has played a vital role in helping us deliver trusted, high-volume communications for clients across the country. From printed statements to shareholder mailings and essential customer correspondence, Port Melbourne has been the hub of precision, dedication and innovation – driven by the incredible people who've worked there and the clients we've proudly supported and continue to support today.

As technology and client needs have evolved, so too has our business. This next step will see our operations transition to modern, purpose-built print and production facilities in New South Wales, enabling:

  • greater production efficiencies
  • enhanced workflow automation
  • faster turnaround times
  • continued secure and compliant delivery at scale

While it's the end of an era, it's also the beginning of a new chapter – one that strengthens our ability to deliver future-fit communication solutions with the same care, confidence and commitment.

We thank every client and team member who's been a part of the Port Melbourne journey. The legacy lives on in the service standards we uphold and the solutions we continue to build.

Did You Know?

Over its lifetime, the Port Melbourne site printed more than four billion A4 sheets of paper. According to the powers of the internet, that's enough to:

  • circle the Earth over 500 times
  • build a paper tower reaching two-thirds of the way to the Moon
  • fill the MCG from turf to top more than 100 times

Now that's a legacy in print!
