One more way to protect yourself from fraud online is to use a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to add a layer of security to your Wi-Fi connection

A VPN creates a virtual encrypted “tunnel” between you and a remote server operated by a VPN service. All external internet traffic is routed through this tunnel, so your data is secure from prying eyes. Use of a VPN computer also gives you the appearance of having the IP address of the VPN server, masking your identity. There is a wide variety of VPNs available online that you can use for a fee.
