Nyssa Oxley, Performance Coach

Nyssa Oxley

Nyssa joined Computershare as a Collector when she was just 18 years old. Even though she had no experience or knowledge of the mortgages market and the help that companies like Computershare can offer to customers, her onboarding and monthly trainings provided her with the confidence to excel in her role.

"For me I felt happiest in my job when I was putting the customer at the heart of everything I did, and this role meant I could ensure that happened from considering forbearance options, to helping on different schemes we have to sell their property."

Our training and development program gives you opportunities to expand your skills, explore your career and reach your full potential. With constant support from her Team leader and regular coaching, Nyssa applied for the Specialist Collector role where she learned more about the company’s end to end processes and the customer’s journey.

"I knew this would be the best role for me as not only would I be helping my colleagues, but that would also trickle down into helping our customer and this has always been the reason I work here. After a year in the role I am still learning, working with my manager, and attending training courses in coaching, but I already feel like I have achieved a lot of my own personal goals and pushing to progress further in my role."

After 10 years at the company, Nyssa grabbed the opportunity to join a team of Performance Coaches that work within our Loan Services team and assist them in achieving their own personal goals and improving business performance.

"I like to challenge myself and learn new things and in each role, I’ve taken on additional duties to try and improve the way I work. The reason I come to work is to help make a difference to our customers and I’m now in a position where I can ensure my peers are getting the best out of their calls and sharing that knowledge I have gained over the years."

Carol Thompson, Performance Coach

Carol Thompson

Carol joined us in 2012 as an inbound/outbound agent in Credit Management, when a previous colleague recommended Computershare as a great place of work with a comprehensive benefits package offered to employees. At Computershare we know that looking after our greatest resource, our people, enables us to create long term value so with the support of our inclusive team and experienced managers you’ll find plenty of learning opportunities to help you develop and reach your full potential.

"I wanted a role where I could have meaningful conversations and make a difference to customers who were facing financial difficulties and be able to continue my own personal development."

Carol continued to develop her knowledge in this area by completing three qualifications in Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice and progressing into a Specialist Collector role. Carol continued to develop herself personally and professionally and completed one more qualification in Consumer Debt Collection. With her manager’s support she secured a Performance Coach role within our Loan Services department where she enjoys providing Computershare employees’ the support to reach their full potential.

"I love working with my team as I feel totally supported and have the opportunity to develop further. Computershare is a great place to work as they focus on engagement and invest in their people."
