Computershare has operated in Switzerland since its acquisition of SIX SAG AG on 1 January 2017. The company was established in Olten in 1996 and supports about 200 issuers. For example, Georgeson, a wholly owned subsidiary of Computershare, has been assisting companies in proxy solicitation matters for more than 75 years. Georgeson identifies and motivates shareholders, talks to the relevant advisers and helps to gather the opinions of shareholders, particularly on critical agenda items, prior to meetings.
