Anonymous visits
Unless otherwise indicated in the following sections, no personal information is collected upon visits to our website.
However, we do collect personal information as part of website access logging (server log data), but your anonymity is maintained. We also collect personal information if you send it to us.
This relates to the following means of data collection:
E-mail contact
If you contact us (e.g. via e-mail), your information is collected and stored for the purpose of processing your query and in case follow-up questions arise. We will use the personal information sent to us in this way solely for the purpose for which you provided it when contacting us.
Job applications
You can apply for jobs with us electronically (via e-mail). We will use your information solely for the purpose of processing your application. Please note that e-mails sent unencrypted are not secure. It is therefore always possible that third parties could intercept your application documents without authorisation when they are sent. Therefore, please send us your application via e-mail only if you are aware of the risks.
The application documents are filed in the personnel file when the job starts and are stored securely. If no employment relationship is established, the application documents are only kept with the consent of the applicant and otherwise deleted immediately after the application procedure.
Access log/server log data
We collect server log data for every visit to our website. Specifically, the following set of data is saved in the access log every time the site is accessed:
• Name of file accessed
• Date and time of access
• Data volume transferred
• Report as to whether access was successful
• Description of the type of web browser used
• Referrer URL (the previous site visited)
• Hostname of the accessing computer (IP address)
This information generally does not enable the user to be identified and we cannot attribute it to any specific person. It is used exclusively for the purpose of operating, securing and optimising the website. However, we reserve the right to review the access log data and to pass it on if there is specific cause for suspicion of illegal use of the website.
