Your shareholders deserve high-quality service, and our goal is to provide an outstanding experience every time they interact with us. To make tax season less taxing, we have enhanced our Tax Season web page – it is now even easier for your shareholders to find the information they need, at their fingertips, and without having to contact the call center.
To prepare shareholders for tax season, we published a new page in November. In mid-January we updated this page to address the top shareholder queries to help ensure they have the information required to complete their tax returns. Here are the highlights:
Quick links – Prominent links guide shareholders to self-service solutions to download statements, transfer shares, update their address, and access cost basis information
Tax form information – Forms 1099-DIV and 1099-B are only generated when funds received reach a certain dollar threshold, yet many shareholders call in to ask why they did not receive these forms. The tax page clearly explains the criteria, with videos to help shareholders better understand the forms.
Frequently asked questions – If shareholders want to know when they can expect their forms, how to get a statement copy, or find answers to other common questions, this section covers it all.
Understanding cost basis – Cost basis can be a challenging topic when working on taxes. The web page has a section devoted to cost basis with answers to important questions.
Additional resources and account shortcuts – Other helpful links include form guides, information to help import tax data to popular tax reporting software, Investor Center login and signing up for text notifications.

Communicating to your shareholders
To ensure your shareholders know this informative web page is available and show them how to access it, we have sent several communications.
Emails to shareholders to promote the tax filing page with a QR code for easy access
A slip included in the end of year account mailing with a QR code
Several social media posts on LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter) with links to the web page
7x more web page visits than last tax season
Early results indicate these web page updates, as well as the communications outreach, have had a positive impact with almost seven times more of your shareholders taking advantage of these helpful tools during this tax season so far than the same period last year.
We are confident this new and improved tax filing web page will provide an enhanced experience for your shareholders as they tackle their taxes. If you have any questions, please contact your Relationship Manager.
