On 9 May 2023, a historic moment took place in the Swiss business world: the first virtual general meeting of a company listed on the SIX.
We are very proud that we were able to partner with our client, Aevis Victoria SA, a leader in the health, hospitality & lifestyle and infrastructure sector, to support them reaching this milestone.
The AGM was held via a cloud-based solution developed in-house, which allowed shareholders to participate in the AGM via the internet.
The stream was transmitted by wtv global, who did a brilliant job in the studio in Bussigny. This technology enabled the participants to follow the event in real time and to participate in voting without any delays in the stream.
Another advantage of this virtual event was the minimal staff and materials required to run it. Instead of a huge conference room and a team of technicians and caterers, only a small team was needed to manage the General Assembly.
This first virtual AGM marks an important milestone in the Swiss business world and shows that virtual meeting technology can enable companies to reach their shareholders in an effective and efficient way.
