    Computershare uses the information that it collects via cookies and tracking software to help us improve our website.     Personal information collection

    In our capacity as securities registrar, we collect personal information about securityholders including their name and address details, telephone and mobile numbers, securityholding balances, IRD numbers, bank account details and e-mail addresses. This information is generally provided to us either directly by securityholders or by Issuers or securities exchanges.

    With some services, you may have to enter information we already hold such as your surname, CSN or (FIN) so we can identify you in order to perform the relevant service.

    If you instruct us to sell all of your securities that are eligible to be sold using the Investor Trade service, we also collect your personal information that you provide online such as name and address details, telephone and mobile numbers, bank account details and e-mail addresses.


    Personal information use

    We only collect personal information about you that is necessary to perform our functions and activities.

    Personal information is collected, held and used for the following purposes:

    • The primary purpose for collecting personal information is for the maintenance of security register, which our security issuer clients are obliged to maintain under the Companies Act 1993, the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013, equivalent overseas statutes or stock exchange listing rules. Personal information collected is also used to facilitate distribution or dividend payments and corporate communications, including Issuers' financial results, annual reports and other information that the Issuers may wish to communicate to their securityholders.
    • Facilitating compliance by Issuers with their legal and regulatory requirements, including disclosure of name, address and holding balance details to companies such as bidders in a take-over context or as otherwise required to meet legal or regulatory requirements of the Issuers.
    • To comply with our regulatory and legal obligations.
    • To enable us to provide the Investor Trade service to you, including contacting you (including by way of email) in response to your inquiries and to provide you with information about the Investor Trade service.


    Disclosure

    Computershare may disclose your personal information to:

    • related companies of Computershare;
    • our clients for whom we maintain securities registers;
    • sharebrokers seeking information concerning their clients' securityholdings;
    • the executing broker we use to execute your instructions in order to sell your securities if you use the Investor Trade service;
    • regulatory authorities including the IRD or as otherwise required to fulfil legal and regulatory requirements;
    • other market participants;
    • our related entities for the provision of IT support or print or mail services;
