On the 27th of September 2023 , we had the pleasure of participating in the Schulthess Forum "Journée RSDA du droit de la SA 2023" at the Biotech Campus in Geneva. The core topic was "Public limited com-panies: Challenges through digitalization and sustainability".
Participants from Computershare Switzerland were Kirsten van Rooijen, Andreas Müller and Marco Schwager.
Kirsten van Rooijen demonstrated in her presentation, how Computershare Europe supports issuers in the digitalization of their General Meetings and sustainability.
Current problems as well as advantages and disadvantages of the digital solution were illustrated with examples from the different markets. In Switzerland, Computershare held a completely virtual and a hybrid AGM this year – across Europe we managed 356. During the event, various virtual votes were held through our Computershare Meeting system. The attendees could vote live with their own smartphone or tablet. We wanted to show the simplicity of the setup and how fast the data can be pro-cessed to display the result without latency. The system was very well received by the participants and will definitely used at one or the other event in the future.
