The ICSA's highly prestigious Tom Morrison Essay Prize competition is now open for entries for 2017.

If you're a ICSA student or a recent graduate working in Governance, and you love to craft a great essay, the ICSA want to hear from you.

The competition was established in 2016 in memory of Tom Morrison FCIS. As an active member and ex-President of ICSA, Tom was an influential figure in the share registration industry and a highly valued colleague of ours.

For this year's essay entrants are invited to discuss the relevance, future development and challenges of company Annual General Meetings.

The competition deadline is Monday 20 March.

Ruth and Rebecca Keating took first and second prize in last year’s competition. Judges, including our CEO Stuart Irving, were impressed with Ruth's essay which stressed the importance of dissenters and whistle-blowers in keeping governance on track.
