Nick is CEO for our US Loan Services businesses, charged with bringing together SLS, Altavera, CMC and Mortgage Solutions into one integrated business group to create a cohesive end-to-end mortgage servicing proposition and delivering on our growth strategy for this business line.
Alongside this, Nick is also CFO for the US, leading finance, accounting and other related services for Computershare in the region. His years of experience have helped him identify ways that we can invest in the business while reducing costs in order to support the company's growth.
Toby is chief executive officer of Specialized Loan Servicing (SLS), and president of Computershare Loan Services.
In his role at SLS, Toby oversees all operational and financial activities for the company, promoting strategic business opportunities and driving key growth initiatives. Toby was one of the original founders of SLS in 2003 and has previously served as president and chief financial officer of SLS. Toby has over 20 years of experience in mortgage banking and servicing, public accounting, strategic planning, portfolio management and valuation, investor reporting, and financial analysis. In addition to his financial expertise, Toby is recognized by associates for his leadership skills, his ability to facilitate change, and the development of people.
Tom founded Capital Markets Cooperative (“CMC”) in 2003 and is considered one of the nation's top executives in the mortgage capital markets. Tom is a recognized author, frequent speaker, and expert in mortgage finance. He serves as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of CMC, and is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of CMC’s lending subsidiary, CMC Funding, Inc.
Tom is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association where he serves on the MBA’s committee for GSE reform. Tom is also on the advisory board of the Common Securitization Platform—a joint venture between Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, dedicated to standardizing the agency mortgage-backed security.
Tom holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Mortgage Banker designations. He is FINRA Series 3 licensed and is a member of the National Futures Association, the Association for Investment Management and Research, and the Security Analysts Society of San Francisco.
Jim Smith is President of Property Solutions, part of the Computershare Group, which includes Computershare Asset Management LLC, Computershare Title Services LLC and Computershare Valuation Solutions LLC. Leading a team of industry leading experts, Jim's directive is to provide products and solutions that meets’ the needs of the customer. Jim also serves as one of Computershare’s US Diversity Champions where he is committed to continuing to build a more diverse workforce throughout the United States.
Prior to joining Computershare, Jim was a senior executive of Clear Capital as well as President of Urban Lending Solutions where he oversaw all areas of the company, including operations, finance, product development, technology, and sales. He also held executive management roles at Fiserv Portfolio Services, Fidelity Hansen Quality, Old Kent Mortgage and Southern Pacific Funding Corporation.
Brian founded Altavera in 2012 after building a career on the secondary and origination side of the mortgage business where he felt that lenders were underserved by the outsourcing options in a post-crisis world. By understanding that each client is unique, he built a firm that truly listens to and partners with its clients. Altavera has grown since its inception in 2012 purely through referrals from clients, and is now part of Computershare Limited (ASX:CPU).
Brian’s executive experience with firms such as Credit Suisse, JPMorgan and Urban Lending provide a valuable context to improve the industry and support clients in each phase of the mortgage loan life cycle.
