Off Your Back – Winter Clothes Appeal

Staff from our Yarra Falls, St Kilda Road and Port Melbourne offices donated winter clothing to the Off Your Back initiative this winter, with over 500 items donated across the 4 week event. The clothes were distributed amongst several participating charities throughout Melbourne. This is a great initiative providing warm clothes directly to the homeless and needy members of our community over the cold winter months (no items are sold). We look forward to supporting this cause, expanding its reach across similar programs throughout Australia and New Zealand, as a regular sustainability fixture going forward.

    LED Lighting

The Yarra Falls office was awarded the most improved owned office award in our latest green office challenge, 'How green is your office?'. The team invested their prize money in upgrading 40% of the office's exit signage to low-power LEDs. The new units are much more environmentally friendly, with significantly lower energy consumption and greater lifespans.

    Pallet Garden

Our Osborne Park office was one of the winners of our Carbon Games competition. The local team decided to invest their prize money in a unique green project. The office was awarded US$100 in prize money, and the team have made use of every cent. Their new pallet garden has the combined benefit of recycling the pallets as well as creating a green space that is pleasant, functional and compact. The team had help in the form of donated materials and the 5+hours it took to build the compact eco garden, they also raised an additional AU$140 for potting mix and plants. Several colleagues have already donated seeds and seedlings for the garden, which will soon be packed with greenery.
