    E-mail contact

    If you contact us (e.g. via e-mail), your information is collected and stored for the purpose of processing your query and in case follow-up questions arise. We will use the personal information sent to us in this way solely for the purpose for which you provided it when contacting us.

    Job applications

    You can apply for jobs with us electronically (via e-mail). We will use your information solely for the purpose of processing your application. Please note that e-mails sent unencrypted are not secure. It is therefore always possible that third parties could intercept your application documents without authorisation when they are sent. Therefore, please send us your application via e-mail only if you are aware of the risks.

    The application documents are filed in the personnel file when the job starts and are stored securely. If no employment relationship is established, the application documents are only kept with the consent of the applicant and otherwise deleted immediately after the application procedure.

    Access log/server log data

    We collect server log data for every visit to our website. Specifically, the following set of data is saved in the access log every time the site is accessed:

    • Name of file accessed
    • Date and time of access
    • Data volume transferred
    • Report as to whether access was successful
    • Description of the type of web browser used
    • Referrer URL (the previous site visited)
    • Hostname of the accessing computer (IP address)

    This information generally does not enable the user to be identified and we cannot attribute it to any specific person. It is used exclusively for the purpose of operating, securing and optimising the website. However, we reserve the right to review the access log data and to pass it on if there is specific cause for suspicion of illegal use of the website.

    Cancellation options

    Consent that has been granted can be revoked at any time by sending an email to sales@computershare.ch. The revocation of consent is only effective for the future and does not affect the legality of the data processed until the revocation. If it is intended to process your personal data for another purpose, you will be informed in advance in accordance with the statutory provisions.

    Who receives your data (categories of recipients)?

    Your personal data is collected and processed by Computershare Switzerland and affiliated companies with which Computershare Switzerland has appropriate contractual arrangements in place.

    Will your data be transferred outside of the EEA?

    Data will be processed outside of the EEA. Computershare ensures that all data transfers are carried out in accordance with applicable privacy laws. This means that any party outside of the EEA, which processes your personal data, is contractually obligated to provide level of data protection adequate to the level of data protection required under the GDPR

    How long will your data be stored?

    We process and store your personal data as long as this is necessary for the fulfilment of the aforementioned processing purposes and as long as we are not legally obligated to provide proof or to retain data. As soon as you opt out from our mailing list, you will no longer receive any marketing communication from us.

    Are tracking tools used?

    Where we send you information via email, we can only see whether you have opened an email and clicked a link in it.

    What data protection rights do you have?

    Under the GDPR, every data subject has the right to: access (acc. to Art.15 GDPR), rectify (acc. to Art.16 GDPR), erase your personal data (acc. to Art.17 GDPR) or restrict processing (acc. to Art.18 GDPR) and  to object to such processing (acc. to Art.21 GDPR).
