This tax season, Computershare made tax preparation, if not more fun, at least more convenient for thousands of our clients’ shareholders.

In February, Computershare became the first transfer agent to offer users of TurboTax® tax preparation software the ability to directly import 1099-DIV and 1099-B tax information. We’re pleased to report that more than 148,000 shareholders took advantage of this convenient option for their Computershare-administered registered and employee stock purchase plan holdings, similar to what they are accustomed to for their employers’ W-2 forms. And shareholders of multiple issues were able to import tax information for most holdings simultaneously, through a single request, rather than accessing each issue individually.

In addition, more than 313,000 registered shareholders used our quick tax form access feature to download their tax forms directly from the Investor Centre™ home page.

Our original partnership with TurboTax allowed us to make at least one aspect of the tax process easier for many of our clients’ shareholders.
