Green Cabs
We use TaxiNord which is currently the only taxi provider in the area that has a green policy (including electric cars, hybrids and low-emission cars).

Waste

Plastic bottles have been replaced by a water dispenser. No plastic cups are used and all kitchen supplies are reusable (glass, porcelain, cups etc.) All plastic bottles and cans are recycled.

Printing

The number of printers has been reduced to a minimum, and they all have built in power management. All paper is FSC approved.

Plants

We have lots of green plants and all employees are encouraged to bring their own. The plants bring lots of benefits as they improve the air quality and look great!

Green electricity

Denmark benefits from lots of wind, and the Holte office has switched to 100% offshore wind power for its electricity consumption. The new agreement is a green and cost-effective solution saving almost 23% on the office's electricity expenditure.

LEED certified green building

Sustainability was a key consideration during the Munich office's relocation and was taken into account when evaluating potential sites. The new office, Elsenheimerstr. 61, has a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification. The building, built in 1973, was completely refurbished with a focus on improving both its ecological and economic performance in terms of design and construction. LEED-certified buildings are resource efficient and consider aspects like materials used, decision-making based on regional priorities and impact on people. They use less water and energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. For more details about the environmental factors of this building please see its LEED scorecard.

Office relocation and IT refresh

Our team in Munich recently merged two offices into one. As part of the move the office's IT systems also underwent an overhaul, switching to a brand-new hyper-converged infrastructure (Nutanix) as part of Computershare's global IT strategy. In comparison to the existing infrastructure, the new setup offers improvements in both performance and power consumption.

Green Office Challenge Results

We asked our offices to complete a sustainability audit, indicating whether tasks were complete, in progress, not started or impossible.
